Pure Lakes Stand at Rheged Spring Fair
Throughout the year Pure Lakes will be attending Craft Fairs around the North West.
We will place details of each fair on this page with as much notice as we can but please do drop us a line if you want to find out if we'll be coming to a Craft Fair near you.
Ambleside Sports

Over 200 years of traditional sports of Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling, Fell & Guide Races, Hound Trailing and Foot & Cycle Races. There are many additional activities and attractions including the Made In Cumbria market of which we are part. This aspect fully illustrates just how active Cumbria is in producing its own products - fine locally grown and reared foods, hand-made artifacts such as jewellery, pottery & glassware and of course high quality hand-made Bath & Body products such as our very own PURE LAKES range.

FROM SOUTH:-J36 off M6, A590 towards Barrow & Kendal, road continues as A591 through Kendal and Windermere to Ambleside, take the one-way system through Ambleside north towards Grasmere and Keswick, about a mile on the right is the entrance to the showground
FROM NORTH:-J40 off M6, A66 towards Keswick, at Keswick take the A591 south to Grasmere, past Thirlmere Lake on your right and then over the rise and down into Grasmere Vale. Continue along past Grasmere for about 3 miles to Rydal. The entrance to the showground is on the left just after leaving Rydal.

Lowther Horse Trials & Country Fair
Date: Friday 8th to Sunday 10th August at 10:00:00
Location: Lowther Castle
An extremely popular show for all animal lovers with hounds, horses and poultry just some of the animals/birds on show. There are races - particularly a half marathon - for the more energetic. There is also, of course, a large showing of local foods and crafts which is where PURE LAKES comes in. We will be in the extremely popular Made In Cumbria marquee so come and sample our high quality, hand-made Bath & Body products.

Rheged Craft Fair (August)
Date: Wednesday 13th August at 09:00:00
Location: Rheged Visitor Centre
Rheged is a great day out with plenty of gifts for all the family (but especially ours). Free admission & Parking.
Directions:- J40 off M6, A66 towards Keswick.
If you are coming from the Keswick direction then the Rheged Centre is clearly signposted just before you reach Penrith.

Kendal Craft Market (August)

Location: Kendal Town Centre
This will be the fourth and final appearance by us this year at the popular monthly market run by Made In Cumbria in Kendal Town Centre. Besides us there will be a range of exhibits from a variety of local Cumbrian Artists and Craft Workers
Directions:- Situated in the pedestrian precinct area just off the Main Street in the middle of Kendal. There is plenty of parking nearby

One of the oldest traditional sports shows in the country, Grasmere Lakeland Sports & Show has a blend of traditional and new sports. Westmorland County Show
Date: Thursday 11th September at 09:00:00
Location: Westmorland County Show, Crooklands, Milnthorpe
The Westmorland County Showfield plays host to a huge County Fair, boasting a wide range of all that English agriculture has to offer, with cattle, sheep, horses, goats and poultry among the many animals making an appearance.
Expect at least 200 trade stands (including, of course, PURE LAKES) and a varied programme of rural entertainment, including brass bands and a cattle parade. There are competition classes for all types of farm animal, with display boards to explain the different breeds. Horses from Shetlands to Shires also feature in classes including horse jumping and carriage driving.
Other attractions include Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling, craft marquees and a food hall selling local produce.

Continue on this road, as soon as you see the Crooklands Hotel on the right hand side take the left turning to Milnthorpe over a small canal bridge (Lane Farm is signed from here). Follow this road, Lane Farm is signed on the right hand side and is the first building on the right, parking is in the yard to the left or as indicated on the day.
