Cold pressed from the seeds. It is a dry, thin oil that is easily absorbed by the skin but should be mixed with other Vegetable oils for skin application to increase moisturising effect. Has a high content, 8-12% of Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), a substance the body needs to create Prostaglandins.
It is also a good source of Omega 3 & 6 Oils.
If stored incorrectly this oil can become rancid because of its high content of polyunsaturated Fatty Acids. We add 0.5% Vitamin E to prevent this and so extend the shelf life.
