Honeypot & Young Carers Cumbria

As parents of three young children, we know how fortunate we are to provide a safe and loving home. Sadly, many children don’t have that same stability—especially in times of crisis, when some are left struggling without a voice or support.
Young carers are children who look after parents or siblings, often taking on responsibilities far beyond their years. In doing so, they can miss out on the simple joys of childhood. They are among the most vulnerable in our society, and with your help, we can make a meaningful difference to their lives.

We’re proud to support Honeypot, a charity close to our hearts—Gareth was previously a trustee while we lived in London. Honeypot offers much-needed respite breaks for young carers at its countryside homes in the New Forest and Wales—safe, nurturing spaces where children can simply be children again.
Honeypot are the only service that offers consistent outreach support and respite breaks, between the ages of 5 and 12. Without Honeypit, many of these children would have nowhere else to turn.

We also support West Cumbria Young Carers and Carer Support South Lakes, who work tirelessly with children across Cumbria—home to some of the UK’s most socially deprived communities. Through trips, activities and educational support, they provide vital opportunities and encouragement, especially when it’s needed most.
These organisations rely heavily on donations, yet consistently achieve incredible impact—bringing moments of joy, relief and hope to children who need it most.
